The ATAC Masters team is designed to offer adult swimmers a fun and friendly community to improve their swim fitness and technical skills. Regardless of your ability level or athletic goals, our Masters program will provide you with structured workouts and social support to make your swim training more enjoyable!
Open to adult (18+) swimmers of all ages and ability levels, ranging from casual lap swimmers to triathletes to competitive Masters athletes
Swimmers need only to be able to swim freestyle; knowledge of butterfly, backstroke, and breaststroke is not required
Practices will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30 to 7:30am at the Trousdell Aquatic Center.
Practices will be designed to fit multiple ability levels and may consist of a combination of group workouts and self-paced sets.
Coach Sami will be able to offer technical instruction as needed/requested to swimmers who hope to improve their strokes during practices.
The ATAC Masters team is coached by Sami Pochowski. Coach Sami has earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation at Thomas University. She completed her Undergraduate degree at Florida State University in Exercise Science while apart of the Varsity Swimming team (2012-2016). Coach Sami has been part of the ATAC Family for over 6 years now, working with the Masters, Senior, PreSenior, and Novice Groups. Coach Sami was our Novice Coordinator from Fall 2020 until May 2022 and enjoyed the opportunity to get to teach young swimmers new skills and the love of the sport of swimming. She was recognized as an ASCA TOP 50 Age Group Coach in 2021. Coach Sami’s goal is to not only have athletes recognize their potential in sport, but to gain confidence and skills in being good people too. She recently got married in 2020 (maiden name was Pochowski).
