This slow pitch softball tournament event is being put on as a fundraiser for Breast Cancer. It is a cause that is very near to my heart. After battling this nasty disease in 2016, I became very involved in fundraising. I have participated in several Susan G. Komen 3-day 60 mile walks and Pledge the Pink 3-day 30 mile walks. I personally know women who have battled or are still battling breast cancer. It has a lasting effect on everyone who is close to those battling.
1 in 8 women in the US will be diagnosed with breast cancer within her lifetime. In 2024 it is estimated that 310,720 women and 2,800 men will be diagnosed. It is likely that you know at least one person who has been personally affected by breast cancer.
Come out and participate in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
