The fastest growing racquet sport, PADEL combines elements of tennis, squash, racquetball, and platform tennis into one unique fast-moving game. It has been said that if tennis is checkers, Padel is chess – easy to learn and hard to master. Social, fun, competitive, and addictive are all words used to describe the sport. Huge in Europe, 12 million players around the world with over 30,000 courts. Padel was virtually unheard of here in the USA but has been building excitement and growing followers over the last several years, including the event that started it here in the Philadelphia area in 2019.

THE HISTORY OF PADELPHIA

PADELphia is THE place to play padel. PADELphia started as a padel club in the heart of the trendy Manayunk neighborhood. Here, the padel experience and community grew quickly. After introducing the sport to our area, PADELphia moved to a beautiful indoor facility right across the river in Bala Cynwyd. PADELphia Bala Cynwyd is located within the Sports Complex at AFC Fitness and houses three brand new indoor padel courts.
