The Kansas City Jazz Rugby Club was established in the fall of 1993 and became an official USA Rugby team in the fall of 1994. Part of the Heart of America Union and the West Territory, the KC Jazz is regularly ranked among the top teams in the region.
In addition to its athletic success, the KC Jazz fosters a community of diversity, respect, and discipline. Among many things, the team prides itself on its openness and ability to bring people of differing backgrounds and experiences together to achieve common goals.

The KC Jazz is presently comprised of 25-30 women ages 18-40. With skill levels ranging from beginner to nationally recognized, the Jazz competes against Division 2 Club level teams in the Heart of America Territory. Not only does the Jazz play during the fall and spring seasons, but the team has a summer 7’s program, as well!
