Adult Intramural Sports
I’m not interested in being an athlete, but I’d like to get more exercise. Recently, I’ve been looking into playing on an adult intramural team. I’ve found several leagues in my area for basketball, soccer, and volleyball. I’m most interested in volleyball since I played it in high school.

The leagues aren’t super competitive, which is perfect for me. They focus on having fun and getting exercise while being active with others. I’ve heard from friends who’ve played that it’s a great way to meet new people who share similar interests.

Most leagues play one game per week and have an eight to ten-week season. The cost is usually around $50-75 per season, which seems reasonable. Some leagues even provide team t-shirts as part of the registration fee.

I think joining an intramural league would be a fun way to stay active and social. I’m planning to sign up for the next volleyball season that starts in January. I’ll need to buy some new shoes and knee pads, but otherwise, I’m ready to get back on the court!
