An exciting new 8-team slow-pitch softball league started in 2010. It was an opportunity for Madison, Wisconsin-area men, ages 55 & up, to play organized games on Wednesday mornings against other senior men in a fun, safe environment.
We have grown and expanded to 25 teams as of 2023. We play Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

GMSS promotes team play, good sportsmanship, and participation for all players. (See “GMSS Rules” above for the details.)

It is open to players (and possibly teams) from the Greater Madison area (realistically within a 40-mile radius of Verona) or further, if the player wants to drive that far. Games will be played at Verona Community Park next to Eagle’s Nest Ice Arena and Veterans Park.
