WELCOME TO THE AZTEC BASEBALL LEAGUE. This adult baseball league was created in June of 2008. The league was created to fill the void left by the disbanding of the Pomona Baseball League. The Pomona Baseball League had been around for over 22 years and was led by Max Gonzales. Max decided he’d had enough and disbanded the popular Pomona Baseball League. We decided to create a new baseball league to fill the void left by the Pomona Baseball League. In our first season, we started with only 28 teams. We struggled to secure fields and get additional teams to join us. We have been fortunate that we have been able to keep our new league moving forward. We wanted to keep as much of the successful Pomona League as possible. We kept certain rules, such as all players must wear the same uniform. We also added other parts that we thought would help us make our league that much better. In our first three years of existence, we grew to, at times, over 50 teams a season. We have added All-Star games with other nearby leagues. Our goal is to make the Aztec Baseball League the best and most cost-effective baseball league in the Inland Empire.
