About the League
The Arlington Women’s Soccer League (AWSL) is a voluntary organization in Arlington, VA that provides an opportunity for women to play soccer for recreation, increase their fitness and soccer skills, and enjoy team sports through competitive play. AWSL is divided into two divisions: Open and Masters.

Open Division: Women 18 years and older may play in the Open Division, which may be divided into Upper and Lower level teams or may include a Middle level as well. The Open Division games are generally played on Sunday mornings between 8:30 am and 2:00 pm. Occasionally there are Sunday evening games.

Masters Division: Women who will be over the age of 30 during the calendar year may play in the Masters division in either the Upper or Middle Bracket. The Masters Division generally plays on Monday evenings between 7:00 and 11:00 pm. Occasionally, other weeknight games may be scheduled.

Masters, Over 40s Bracket: Players who are over the age of 40 (or currently grandfathered onto their team) may play in the Masters Over 40 Lower Bracket. The Masters Division generally plays on Monday evenings between 7:00 and 11:00 pm. Occasionally, other weeknight games may be scheduled.
